Joined 7 years ago from Jacksonville, Florida
Hi! My name is SN Brown and I am a native of sunny, warm, and humid Jacksonville, Florida. I am a graduate of The University of North Florida's School of Arts and Sciences as well as the School of Education and Human Services. I received a B.A. in Sociology and an M.Ed in Higher Education Administration. I created a HubPages account many years ago with the intention of sharing my love for writing with others. Now, I want to expand my intentions to include sharing my educational experiences with others to encourage and guide the thoughts of those who are interested in expanding their educational horizons or who are interested in anything related to the post-secondary matriculation process, or what I like to call "pre-adulthood" stage of life. My hubs (articles) will be focused on the African-American experience in higher education, student engagement, multicultural competence and awareness, leadership, and of course different topics that are and will be laid on my heart to share with you such as Black and/or ethnic identity, spirituality, and societal/national matters.
Some of my hobbies are playing the flute, the acoustic guitar and of course writing. I haven't written any songs or published novels. In addition to my hobbies, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the movies, baking cookies, The Jacksonville Jazz Fest, The Shrimp Festival, and anything else that's fun, new and safe :)
In the future, I hope to travel the world or atleast a few countries of my choice such a Australia, Africa, Japan, etc. I love life, I love living, and I love becoming a better person. My learning cup is never at its capacity because I enjoy expanding and growing for the better.

A poem of young, pure, and innocent love that is manifested in a beautiful artful form of love filled words and emotion.

A poem of past love and regret, but not of the conventional. A normal day of grocery shopping transformed into a day of self-reflection, realization, and self-examination for the woman who became aware of the loss of a mature true love.
