I'm a writer. I love to write and read. I write fiction, non-fiction, poems, songs, short stories and I have my first novel on hold because I haven't had the time to write it. I've finished the first chapter. I have over 600 pages of written notes for my novel. I collaborated with a friend on myspace from the UK to make an indie/rock/acoustic album called Lucid Crazy Dreamers. I wrote all the lyrics for all ten songs on the album. My friend did all the vocals, instruments and composition for our album. We released it in 2007 on iTunes and Amazon. We decided to take the album off the sites after a couple of years. It's a great album. Our influences are heard in the album; Elliott Smith, John Lennon, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, etc. You get the idea.

I was born in Memphis, TN. I live and attend college in West Memphis, AR. I will have a 2 year Associates of Arts Degree in General Education after this fall semester. I live with my mother and father. My mother, father and sister are my best friends. I take care of my mother and father. My mother is on hospice and confined to a wheel chair. My father has health issues as well. I'm single and very content with that at the moment. I'm just now getting my life on track while taking care of my parents.

I write about life, love, beauty, the darkness and the light and everything in between. My short stories have a life of their own because when I start writing I don't stop until I'm finished. That's why I've put my novel on hold because I have a lot of information in my notes to write and I know once I get started, it will take up a lot of time.

For me, in the now, I'm concentrating on finishing college. I have many short stories, poems and lyrics that I have written over the years. I write fiction and non-fiction. I write in metaphors. I use some curse words in my writing, but nothing offensive. I believe that words of any kind make stories real and interesting. Words can make people relate to what you write even if those words are curse words.

I am a writer. I don't believe you have to be a published writer to call yourself a writer. I'm confident that something of mine will be published when someone see's talent in my material. I love to write, so I call myself a writer. Everyone who writes should call themselves a writer whether they've been published or not. If you write and love writing, then you're a writer.

I'm also an artist of portraits, abstract and whatever comes to mind to draw in the moment. That's my drawing in the background of my profile of John Lennon that I drew when I was 17 years old while listening to his album "Walls and Bridges" for the first time.

I hope everyone enjoys my creativity, imagination and duality of humanity in my material.

I want to thank my new friend I have had the pleasure of meeting a couple of months ago at the college that I'm attending in West Memphis. She turned me on to this site. Thank you Lilith Eden.

I can't wait to read everyone's creativity and I can't wait to share mine.

"Take me on that sugarcoated fantasy of a liquid dream. The place that's cool to be obscene." - David Lloyd Bogard

"Aristotle says a horse has twenty four teeth but I count thirty two. Believe whatever makes you feel better and helps you more." - Timothy Leary.

"If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is, infinite." - William Blake

P.S. Yes, that is me in my profile picture. I took that selfie a few years back when the movie Secret Window came out. I think it's a funny picture because I kind of look like Mort Rainey in the picture and Johnny Depp's character in that movie was a writer of short stories. I hadn't even started writing short stories when I took that picture of myself. Now I'm a writer, I found it to be funny to use that picture as my profile picture.

Just to make it clear, I'm not promoting anything. I'm writing on this site to share, not to sell.
