Recently my focus has changed when I found out that I was becoming a grandma for the first time.

When I first found out that my Son was becoming a father to twin girls I remembered the 2 weeks I stay at my grandmother's and she was crocheting a blanket. I was 12 and probably bored so I asked her to show me how to crochet. She taught me how to crochet a chain. I spend days making a long chain, then I would pull it apart. That was the only time I crocheted.

I decided to make them blankets like my grandma made for us. My husband didn't think I could and remember how to crotchet and make a baby blanket. I went and purchased the needles and 2 bundles of yarn. I did not have a pattern and I only new 1 stitch and that was a chain stitch. With YouTube and the lovely ladies that posted how-to videos on different stitches and several attempts to make something resembling a blanket of any kind. But I did it and before they were born I had 2 small blankets, several beanies, several sets of booties and headband. I have learned a lot and I love crocheting. I want to thank the ladies that took the time to share their knowledge on YouTube.
