Sheila's routes go back to a Los Angeles suburb known as Hawthorne, CA. As a child, she would entertain herself by drawing portraits of friends, or creating comic strips of herself falling in love with boys (thus began her love addiction). In middle school, she excelled in creative writing assignments, and her drawing won the T-shirt design contest at the age of thirteen.

Sheila's creativity blossomed as she was involved in many academic clubs, pep squad, and other activities during her high school years. Her knack of the English language placed her at the top of honors classes. In her senior year, Sheila was the cougar mascot and received Artistic Excellence in the Congressional Arts Competition.

While attending El Camino College, Sheila's passion for art, writing, and helping others began to emerge. Majoring in art, journalism, psychology and creative writing, she honed her skills as writer and illustrator for the college newspaper, The Warwhoop. She received Honorable Mention for a Critical Review at the JACC State Conference, as well as Outstanding Achievement in publishing in Myriad Magazine. Sheila entered the "Miss Hawthorne Scholarship Pageant" in 1991 to help pay for her education, and received 2nd Runner-Up and Most Photogenic.

Sheila is currently a freelance writer specializing in creative writing, relationships, dating, love, and inspirational life lessons. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writer's and Illustrators (SCBWI), and her ebooks, The Story of Daddy Longlegs, and Real Ghost Stories And Strange Encounters are available on LuLu.com.

She is a contributor for Examiner.com and the Yahoo Network. Her articles appear on Care.com and CBS local Los Angeles. She shares humorous and disastrous stories of love as a blogger on Yahoo Shine (when she isn't working on relationship and dating advice for clients). Sheila loves dancing (mostly in her car), music, cooking, wine-tasting, and volunteering as a caterer and receptionist for the Oceanside Museum of Art. With three kids to spoil in the meantime, she still has an open mind and open heart when it comes to finding love. Catch her if you can.
