New Callout Capsule!

A Squidoo Feature Now Available to Hubbers

We're very pleased to announce that the HubPages Team has decided to adopt another great feature from Squidoo: the Callout Capsule. This new capsule is intended to highlight shorts bits of text like quotes, tips, and trivia, in visually-appealing way that makes them stand out from the rest of the text. During the import process, we enabled a very limited version of the Callout Capsule which was intended only as a way to keep Lenses in one piece until former Lensmasters had the opportunity to edit them. But everyone (including us) loved them so much that we decided to make them a permanent part of HubPages. Starting today, all Hubbers can use Callout Capsules on new Hubs and add them to existing Hubs. For more details, check out Marina's Forum post.

Pro Tips

Farewell, dear friend!

The Squidoo Migration Is Complete (Mostly)!

I just wanted to give Hubbers and ex-Lensmasters a quick update on the Squidoo transition. As of today, we are no longer accepting transfer opt-ins, and the majority of Lenses and Lensmasters are now full-fledged Hubs and Hubbers. Woohoo! All told, about 30,000 writers and 450,000 articles have been transferred. We're still tying up a few loose ends, but all the major bugs and issues have been fixed. Although the migration is essentially complete, we've decided to leave the Squidoo Forum open for another month to allow ex-Lensmasters to seek transition-related help for a little while longer. :)

For more information on the end of the transition, check out the Forum Post:
