HubPages is Mobile-friendly, hooray!

Google's Mobile Update

How to Prepare Your Hubs

Back in February,  Google announced that they plan to place increasing importance on a site’s mobile-friendliness in search results for mobile devices starting April 21st. That's great news for us; HubPages is already a mobile-friendly site! In fact, we expect at least 60% of our traffic (and possibly more) to be from mobile devices by the end of 2015.

Pro Tips

Mobile traffic is a big deal.

How to Get Your Hubs Ready for Mobile

Mobile traffic to Hubs already surpasses desktop computer traffic, and with the expected increase from Google's pending update, we expect it to grow even more. That means it's more important than ever that you preview the mobile version of your Hubs to make sure everything looks good before publishing. Here's how:

  1. When your Hub is in Edit Mode, click the "Preview" button at the top of the HubTool.
  2. Select the "Mobile Preview" tab.
  3. Check your Hub's layout to make sure all capsules appear in the correct order and everything looks as it should.
  4. Make a habit of checking the Mobile Preview of every new Hub you publish and every Hub you edit before saving your changes.
