Admin Approved Comments

We've had some questions recently about the new admin comment approval procedure, so I'd like to clear up the confusion today. As part of an effort to handle comments better with Google, article comments will occasionally be reviewed by moderators and either denied or admin approved.  Here's how it works:

1. Moderators will look at new article comments primarily by anonymous commenters.
2. Hubbers will have 7 days to approve or deny all new comments themselves before a Moderator sees them.
3. Comments the author has made a decision on within the 7 day window will not be reviewed by a Moderator.
4. Comments that have not been reviewed by the author in that time may be admin approved or denied.
5. Comments that are admin denied will be deleted (only spam or extremely low quality comments are typically denied this way).
6. Comments that are admin approved can still be deleted by the author at any time.

How to Search Your Recent Admin Approved Comments

If you want to look through your recent admin approved comments to see if there are any you'd prefer to override, or any you need to respond to, here's how:

1. Sign into HubPages and visit the Comments tab in your My Account page.
2. In the "Hub Comments" section, filter by "Admin Approved."
3. Click "Delete" on the comments you wish to override.
4. Click "Reply" on any comments you wish to respond to.
