Update to Guidelines on Amazon Products

As many of you have seen, we recently made a post in the HubPages forums about updating our preferences for how Amazon products are placed in articles. We now prefer that Amazon products be placed in Amazon-specific capsules as opposed to hyperlinked in the text.

Here's a bit more on the changes to our guidelines. 

• Previously, Amazon links displayed a small "A" before the link, but this is no longer the case. Therefore, it is difficult for readers to know that the link is leading to an Amazon product. By having an independent capsule, there will be no confusion on this front, and it will help improve the reader experience. 
• The Amazon capsule allows you to write some personalized text about why you are linking the product. Now that capsules are preferred, it is even more important to provide specific, experience-based endorsements of the products. Please also make sure that the description is different from what is written on Amazon.com itself. 
• You do not need to back through all of your articles and change out hyperlinks to product capsules, but if you wish to do, go right ahead! If making updates, please be sure to double-check the prices and availability of the products.
