Poem: Vanished...

You vanished in the spectrum of daylight

After three sweet years

You were gone just like that

Without a word of goodbye.

I was scared of you in the beginning

But you made your way and captured my heart

Your charming smile, dimpled cheek

And I secretly fell in love with you.

I still see you sitting by the stairwell,

Just like how you used to do waiting for me

I see you peeking at the window

And when caught, slowly hide your face away.

Reminiscing the lazy days spent with you

You’re so laid back happy to just nap

I love to tickle your chubby tummy

Go belly up and boredom flunk.

I wonder now, what are you doing,

Who tickles you and kissing your nose?

T’was short and sweet but I think of you so tenderly

And wish you didn’t have to go.
