The Town of Lakehurst NJ

 Did you ever want to find a place where you could just relax a bit, be yourself and not have to worry about the outside world?  I think I have found such a place.  I am willing to bet my life on it.  I lived in Keyport NJ for most of my adult married life.  Things changed a bit when I moved to a town in NJ called Manalapan.  It was a rural type of town with lots of flooding. Whenever it rained it looked as if people had a lake in their front yard.  I found this house in Lakehurst.  Two blocks down and to the right there is this fantastic lake.  In the summer my boy fished all summer and won two fishing contest which gave him two brand new poles.. They have a section of the lake roped off for swimmers.  There is a life guard there everyday in summer.  The beaches are clean, There is a park where the kids could play, there is a pavillion there in which this easter I attended a sunrise service.  It was beautiful.  The people are friendly and down to earth and everybody seems to watch out for everybody.  I have made alot of woman friends here, and trust me I dont usually get involved with being friends with people, but these people are genuine and warm and inviting.  it just seems that we belong here.  My son and daughter are doing well in their schools. 

If you ever want to come to a nice place to walk your dog, or fish or swim or a decent park where your kids to play all day, plan a day at Lake Horicon.  It is a really nice place to come.  In the center of town there is a cute little ice cream palor.  Ladies you can spend a day at the spa located in the center of town.  It's not far away from Rt. 37 Toms River where you can find Fortune China Buffet, the movies. Wallmart is close by and the Mall on Hooper ave. is like fifteen minutes away.  Seriously if you are looking for a place to spend the day, this is a good choice.  Have a fun summer...
