Jane Goodall was the first to document the use of tools by chimpanzees as they'd reach into termite mounds with sticks to extract insects for eating. Animals have been used by humans to paint ie. fastening a paintbrush to a dog's tail, but this has nothing to do with the animal's own creativity. The aforementioned elephant has been documented as really having an aesthetic sense in painting.
Crows are considered very smart since they show problem-solving ability by dropping shellfish on rocks from above to crack them open.
