   This should be in the pets forum probably? And I don't particularly care for them. I dog-sat one once and she had her period all over my apartment and tore up the carpet. They are also used as accessories. I have a golden retriever and I'm happy with him.

   I like animals, full stop. Always have. But Chihuahuas?
   
   They're just kinda silly. Even sillier is when I watch the guy round the corner walking his.
   
   Yep. Chihuahuas are in the 'silly animals' group. Along with wasps.
   
   If someone would like to defend Chihuahuas BTW, feel free.
   
   NB - no wasp defending. There's none to be had. I know what they're on planet Earth for. But I still don't agree with them. I think that Nature or Himself could have stuck with the same design - just made them a little less mean.

   I like animals, i love dogs, i own a cat 3 fish tanks, snakes and other animals, my dog die recently after 15 years But Chihuahuas?
   it looks like mouse and bat cross-breeding.

   I like mutts.  I don't like the value placed on purebred dogs.  A dog can't help what breed it is.  And there are tons of very sweet dogs put down every day that could use good homes, but people are so caught up in liking the aesthetics of a particular breed that they go out and buy a purebred puppy, instead of adopting.

   I am a dog lover. Always have been. It is almost part of the British psyche. However, it is big dogs I am used to (specifically German Shepherds) and the smaller ones are not always my cup of tea.
   
   This reminds me of an old joke (sorry!):
   
   An old bloke walks in to a pub with a Chihuahua and asks, "Who owns that Rottweiller tied up outside?"
   
   Big bruiser in leather gear with tattoos all over his face stands up and says, "I do! Why?"
   
   "Cyril here has just killed it!" replied the old guy.
   
   Big bloke laughs and asks,"How did he manage that, then?"
   
   "Got stuck in his throat," the old guy responds.
