Would like a proven flea killer method or product for mainly outdoors use.

Old Blue heeler, young Corgi/terrier and young mini Cockapoo are getting chewed up with fleas.  Have already used two different granular chemicals and that did not work.  Am using essential oil/pyrethrins combo indoors which helps, but not enough at all as every time dogs go outside they get more fleas.  Am also feeding some vet garlic/B product but that does not seem to be working as well as it previously has.

We raise Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. They mainly are outside and take turns being in the house.  Our concern with spraying for fleas and other undesirable things was their health if we sprayed with chemicals.  Our solution is garlic.  We boil the garlic and put it in a sprayer and spray the entire area which includes their kennel and dog houses.   Also, I have sprayed the inside of their dog houses with Listerine [full strength].  I was surprised to see mosquitoes come swarming out of their houses.  Neither one of these solutions will harm your pets.  We do not have problems with fleas.

    hi frogy fish,
remeber that fleas easily jump out of the body when you apply organic products ,
second the set of product s that you use early will not work on now as the fleas will be resistant to it , this happens because the larvae/nymph stage will not be killed and hence acquires immunity ,
i suggest you use a compond other than that you used earlier.
sparying the premises like the dog house and the house cracks and crevises is neccesary.

Frontline spot on for them both, and a spray or fumigator for the house at the same time.  Wash all the bedding in the washing machine on a hot wash, and dont forget to spray the car!

If you do all this on the same day then you should be rid of them pesky fleas :-)

Citronella and lavendar sprays over the coat act as an insect repellant also

Fleas can jump easily when he realized the danger of his life by his powerful sense organ. It is a fact to control the breeding and their existence in any area people used different organic chemical at different time. Most of the larvae were killed by the chemicals but few of them might be survived. These few larvae get immune so strongly that they are not afraid of any chemicals. Therefore it requires afresh research to find out a new suitable organic compound.
