You can keep the appointment. The best thing is to call your vet and see what he says. Some vets will still perform the surgery, although it can cost more when the dog is in heat because it's a little more complicated, and there can potentially be more risks. It may a false heat, if it's her first one. I'd suggest just calling the vet to see what they suggest your options are.
