The dog will likely be scratching its ears. If they look a bit dirty inside the dirt might be mites.
A home remedy is to put a little olive oil or glycerin in the dog's ears... just a little with your finger and don't put your finger in beyond the flappy part of the ear. Then massage the dogs ears from outside the ears to rub the glycerin around.
You should really try to clean the ears first... I'm told diluted vinegar is OK. Just be gentle and careful inside the ears. Use a cotton swab or a clean piece of cotton.
If the scratching persists you should see a vet.
