I had a dog named Zeke who was our first dog. I remember that Zeke came home in my dad's jacket pocket when I was really young. That dog was my best friend growing up, he was a great beagle who loved to play with us kids.
I had two bunnies (a white one and a black one.) I did not have dogs until I was an adult. Bunnies are sweet pets, but they are not as interesting as dogs.
When I was a child our family had golden retrievers. Today my family has 2, my youger brothers also have labs and my sister has black labs.
I grew up with several dogs that continually had puppies. I have some great memories and have always had a dog since. My children are also great animal lovers and have dogs themselves.
