Why is my fish swimming upside down?

Noticed one of my fish (a shubunkin) swimming upside down,After I fed it it swam around normally but the next day it was belly up again.

It wants some pineapple upside down cake. Get ready for the big "flush".

I had a friend who had a goldfish that was chronically overfed by her children. To make a long story short the poor little buggar got so fat that the only way he could eat more was to swim upside down. Eventually this became his permanent position.

These fish are bred to be freakish and one aspect of their shape is that they are no longer stable in the water. Easy prey for predators but, of course, there are none
