I found 2 toads 3 months ago. Do they hibernate in captivity?
A few months ago I found 2 toads while camping. My husband and I went to PetSmart and bought everything we needed to keep them healthy....and happy. We never thought of having them as pets, but they are just adorable!
They should if all their needs are properly met. Be sure their substrate is deep enough. It's not good for the environment to ever keep a wild animal as a pet but if you do, juveniles tend to acclimate better than adults. Unfortunately adults tend to stay stressed in captivity and have shorter lives.
