Younger dog mounting older sick dogs in the same household.
Have you heard of a younger dog mounting a senior/sick, dying dog in the months, weeks and days before passing? I have a male mix that has mounted both of my senior males that passed away 2 and 3 yrs ago. He is now mounting my dying senior female who has kidney failure. He’s also mounting my 2 other senior dogs but they have not been diagnosed with anything life threatening just old age. My husband and I have noticed this pattern but can’t seem to find any info on it? We currently have 7 dogs and in the past have had 4-7 at one time. It’s not an aggressive mount. Thx.
