A Picture Can Speak A Thousand Words

The Artist

Source

I came across Øistein Alexander Ruud's amazing work on the website deviantart.com and immediately fell in love with it. His pictures accurately portrayed so much of what I have been trying to express through the written word in my own website blog and in my hubs.Mr Ruud goes under the name AlexGroseth on the deviantart website and you can purchase block prints of his art on that site all of which are very reasonably priced. From the onset I want to make it clear that I am not profiting from this in any way except in that it gives me great pleasure to promote great talent with such a meaningful message for the world today. I profit spiritually from shouting this artists work from the rooftops!

Following are a selection of pictures from the AlexGroseth gallery on the deviantart website and I explain how each piece I have chosen describes the ideas I try to express in my writing.

Enjoy!

I believe that we are in essence pure love energy residing in human form. We put on our bodies to experience this world and take off our bodies when we leave it. I believe that being human is just one experience of many that we have and each one of us has experienced being human many many times and this life you are experiencing now. It is impossible for any of us to learn all the lessons that life has to teach in just one lifetime. Some of us last only minutes, some are born into horrendous conditions and still other are born into great wealth and abundance. How can anyone imagine that just one experience is going to do it for us?

I believe we choose our parents, the country of birth and even the way we are to look. We do this by the way we live our present life. Nobody escapes the consequences of their words, thoughts or actions because if we do not learn the lessons life has to teach then life will find ways for us to learn them. There is no more effective way for a murderer to learn to empathise with his victim than to be reborn as a victim.

The world is perfect and everything that is happening is happening for a very good reason however we are not able to appreciate this because of our human condition. Our limited view of reality prevents us from being aware of our true nature and ensures that we only experience what we need to in order to progress from where we are now.

From birth we develop a filter called our ego through which we view the world. This filter comprises all that we believe to be true so we can only entertain ideas that conform with our belief system. This is the mechanism that holds us captive in a world we ourselves have created for ourselves by the way we have lived our previous lives. There is no dark force outside of us that is creating all the pain and suffering we see in the world. We are collectively responsible and it is we who must realise this if not in this life then in another. Life will eventually prevail but we can make it easier by waking up and doing our duty.

Some people actually believe that they are their bodies. Some people believe they are their brains. Our bodies are very elaborate space suits we wear in order to live on this planet and interact with each other. The space suits wear out but we never die.

The problem with these space suits is that they have a mind of their own. Our bodies have a separate mind. We experience this when we become addicted to things like chocolate, tobacco, alcohol, drugs, sex and all kinds of food and drink. The cravings of our bodies are very real and it takes a  huge force of will to deny the body what it demands.

One of the lessons we must learn in this life is to become the master of our own bodies. The body is there to serve us and not the other way around. Many people never realise this and spend their lives a slaves to their own bodies never realising the divine within themselves.

Life is a journey. We each enter this world alone and we leave it alone. There are many distractions along the way but there have been great souls who came into this world to give us guidance. None of these great souls ever wrote one word of what they said. Their message cannot be described intellectually in words but passed from heart to heart and not head to head.

People have created religions based on what they believe the messages of these great souls to be.They have written books describing what these great souls have said and they have used these words to wield power over the masses for generations.

Religion is like a sign post. All religions are pointing the way for us to travel. Some people mistake the sign post for the destination and many even lay down their lives for their sign post.

The critical factor is the gatekeeper. Only ideas that conform to what you hold true will be allowed past the gatekeeper who stands guard over your subconscious. Only ideas that support what you believe to be true are allowed through everything else is ignored or is never even noticed. This is why you will see such extremes in this world. The rich and affluent cannot imagine life being any other way and the poor feel the same way about their own situation. Two belief systems creating completely different results.

In order to affect change in your life you must first learn to get past the gatekeeper in order to access the subconscious and replace the belief responsible for the condition you want to change. Will power alone is not sufficient to get past the gatekeeper and this is where man's blind pride in the power of his intellect to overcome all his problems fails miserably. The intellect is impotent in the world of the subconscious and that is probably the biggest challenge facing man today ... to acknowledge the subconscious as the real power behind his life and not his intellect.

My desire to know myself and to be able to access my own subconscious was the driving force behind me choosing to become a Clinical Hypno-Psychotherapist.

" Be still and know that "I" is God." is my favourite quote from the bible. It says it all in that short command.

Be still refers to quieting the monkey mind. Your mind like your body is a tool but most people identify with the mind and some even believe that they are their minds. It is by stilling the constant chatter of your mind and remaining in silence for regular periods each day that you realise that you are much more than a mind.

Your thoughts are energy for you to direct and use to create what you want. Thoughts are not supposed to use you. Sit in silence without any noise inside or outside of yourself and this you can do while riding the bus or in the middle of an earthquake. The noise I refer to hear is the chatter of an indisciplined mind which like a spoiled child is a bottomless pit that can never be satisfied.

There is nothing in this world other than "I" and "I" is love. Be still and realise this truth and become free!
