Digital Portrait Paintings 2011
Drawing Portraits Digitally
Here are some of my digital portrait paintings over 2011. I've been getting into using more color in my work, especially since all of my drawing is digital now. I've gotten a great response from my new style of painting portraits, and have been fine tuning this new style. I apperciate the support I've been getting in my artwork.
Learning to draw portraits all over again using a tablet has been an interesting experience, I did draw portraits in the past but was a pencil artist. Digitally drawing is very different from pencil drawing, I found it a bit of a challenge at first to get a portrait done that looked decent.
Amber
Amber is a Twitter friend of mine. She is a very pretty girl a was a great subject to draw. This drawing took me a little over 3 hours to completely. Relativity quick compared to other drawings.
Stephanie and Daughter
A portrait of a Facebook friend. I used to be really close to her eldest daughter and though we grew apart I am still friends with the family. This is a picture of her Mother and middle daughter.
Roxas
This is another Facebook friend of mine. Her name is Holly but she does a lot of cosplay. One of her favorite cosplays is Roxas.
Emma Stone
A portrait of celeb Emma Stone. I saw her acting in the movie Easy A not to long ago and really enjoyed the movie as well as her acting in it.

How Long Drawing These Takes...
Thank you for taking the time to look through my art!
I only put the time spent on a drawing on Amber because I am not going to go look up how much time I actually spent on each drawing.
I will say though that on a typical portrait like any of these it takes me averagly between 9 and 21 hours of work. Emma Stone is the only portrait here that took closer to 21 hours.
Hope you like, feel free to leave a comment!
