I have both Gimp and Photoshop as well as other visual editing programs. The learning curve on each is steep, but Gimp is a little steeper. To do good photo and illustration editing, it takes an investment of time to get to know the various features and capabilities. But the time invested is well worth it.

adrienne2 - Adobe Photoshop is good stuff, but is somewhat pricey. A useful substitute is "Gimp," an open source piece of software. It can be downloaded free from the website, "" There are others. Serif offers a free version of their panorama-producing program that I have used. It works well.

I did enjoy this article and thank you for it.
