Best Sewing Machine to Gift
Best Sewing Machine - Janome 7318
I'm at the stage of my life where I am lucky enough to spend hours sewing on my sewing machine if that's what I want to do. Our kids are grown, my husband has gladly taken over a lot of the cooking so I'm free to pursue my lifelong passion for sewing.
This sewing machine, the Janome 7318, is one of the best gifts I've ever received. Let me tell you about it....
Continue reading on this page to see WHY this sewing machine shown above is THE BEST SEWING MACHINE TO GIFT. :) I won't list any others on this page..this is the one you'll want.
Easy to Use
Best Sewing Machine to Gift to ANYONE.....
One of the great features of this Janome 7318 sewing machine is how user friendly it is. The gift recipients expertise (or lack of) in sewing is not a factor when choosing this sewing machine because it is so easy to operate. I have owned a couple of push button digital sewing machines previously and I can honestly say I much prefer the manually operated machines.

Buy Quality
In sewing machines,
like most every other thing in life,
you get what you pay for.
Quality - Key Ingredient for Best Sewing Machine to Gift
My Lesson Learned....
Don't make the same mistake I did when I bought my grown daughter her first sewing machine. I went to the local discount superstore and bought a basic cheapie sewing machine. For the price I paid I should have expected the outcome. When you buy a sewing machine for less than 100 dollars, you get what you pay for.
Less expensive sewing machines just don't have the power to sew thicker fabrics with ease. They aren't built to handle much more than even the most basic household sewing without a great deal of manhandling the machine. I had been so excited to gift this sewing machine to my daughter because I wanted her to share my love of sewing. Instead, the cheap machine I selected for her just left her frustrated. :(
So, BUY a QUALITY sewing machine to gift someone.

Features
My Favorite Features of the Janome 7318 Sewing Machine
The Janome 7318 has a convenient ruler gauge printed on the machine front. It is shown in both centimeters and inches. I no longer have to wear my tape measure around my neck or worry about leaving the house to run errands only to discover I'm still wearing my tape measure necklace. (That's happened to me a few times in the past.) :)
The bobbin cover is transparent, so I can see at a glance whether I need to rewind my bobbin or I'm good to go. It is so annoying to have to stop in the middle of a seam because you've run out of bobbin thread. I don't have to worry about this anymore.
And.....it's fast. I don't think I mentioned this, but I can now literally fly through a project if I choose to.
