Crocheters, Welcome! The Coffee And Tea Are On!

A big hello to all of my fellow crocheters! I'm Sheila, and I'm an indie crochet designer. You've arrived here at the Crochet Coffee Shoppe – welcome, grab your coffee or tea, come in and sit a spell for a visit!

Do you ever wonder about all of the other crocheters who are "out there" crocheting around the universe? I do! That's one reason why I've created the Crochet Coffee Shoppe - to serve as a meeting and resource point for all crocheters!

If you design crochet patterns, wouldn't it be nice to get to know the others who do? And to get the word out about your work?

Post a Classified ad! Sell your yarn, patterns or finished objects! Find great free pattern links! Meet other crocheters. Find the best crochet blog! Learn to crochet, or pick up a new stitch on YouTube. Take a look around, answer some polls and introduce yourself. Maybe get inspiration for your next project!

By promoting each other's crocheting, we promote our Art!

I hope you'll bookmark this page and come back often as it will constantly be updating. Don't forget to bring your other crochet friends too!

Most Important Of All...

Don't ever give up trying to learn! If you're trying to learn to crochet and you keep having trouble, maybe the problem is the METHOD of learning you're trying to use (i.e. reading from a book). How about trying one of these YouTube tutorials? Or perhaps get an experienced crocheter to show you in person. It might make all the difference!

Get The Hooks I Use! - You Will LOVE Them!

Clover Soft Touch Steel Crochet Hooks, No. 0/1.75mm
Clover Soft Touch Steel Crochet Hooks, No. 0/1.75mm

Simply the best crochet hook ever - practically indestructible, and the ergonomic handle prevents hand fatigue and cramping. I have severe arthritis in my hands and I could not be crocheting anymore without these hooks! This size, 0, is one of my favorite thread hooks suitable for heavier threads.

@anonymous: Hi Teri! I have dozens of lenses about items that are my own designs. Is there one in particular you're referring to? As long as you give appropriate credit and a link to my lens you are welcome to post it on your lens. Thanks!

I'm looking for original crochet artwork or practical items, for my lesson 6. I notice you have a lens about something you designed yourself. May I have your permission to post it on my crochet-isn-t-as-hard-as-you-think? Thanks.

people generally enjoy seeing crocheters do their 'thing' in public. it's calming and we can inform observers about our handwork - its benefits as well as how practical it can be!

      • anonymous 4 years ago

Yes, I take my crocheting everywhere I go. I have made friends doing this, and have taught several people how to crochet in the process.

No, I keep it at home. Here's my thoughts...

What a great lens! So nicely done with so much info too. I'm hoping to learn to crochet this year! Tried before, but being left handed seems to complicate the leasons. I'm bookmarking this one so I can come back and watch videos. Thanks for a great job!
