Am I the only knitter/crocheter who has a freak gauge?  I am very relaxed and have to use tiny hooks

or needles to come close to the gauge on most patterns.  And if my stitch gauge is OK, my row gauge is way off.  Fortunately I'm an engineer and just "do the math" to adapt patterns for my freak gauge.

I'm a loose knitter.  After 15+ years of knitting, I pretty much just drop down one to two needle sizes.  It kind of depends on what kind of yarn the project calls for, and just how important gauge is to the project.  I'm in love with lacy shawls, and things like that, so gauge is not critical.  I'm also kind of a lazy knitter, and avoid gauge with most things. Yep, didn't color in the lines either.
