Triumph Riders Motorcycling in Wales UK
Having a good old chinwag before we set off to Wales
A warm welcome
This time last year my hubby and I joined the Destination Triumph - Solent members club.
(I have included throughout this hub, photograph's from the trip to Wales in the UK last year for all of the members who we were fortunate to ride with, I hope you enjoy looking at them!)
Throughout our married life we have been members of many motorcycle riding clubs including The Bold Forester Motorcycle Club, Southampton District Motorcycle Club, Suzuki Bandit Club and finally the Crescent Motorcycle Club all of which have brought different experiences and adventures to our riding.
At first I was a little concerned that we were not in fact riding a Triumph. My hubby put my mind at ease by saying that after speaking with the leader 'Mike' and him reassuring my hubby that anyone who rides a motorbike are invited to participate in the events of the club.
Now, even though he had said this I was still a little wary that we were not riding a Triumph.
On our first meeting with this group of people I can honestly say that we were given such a warm welcome that what bike we were riding didn't even seem to matter.
We met in a car park not knowing anyone and my hubby only ever once having spoke with Mike, I could not believe how welcoming this group of rider's were. It was as if we had been friends with them for ever!
It always amazes me when I am out on the bike how biker's are just so friendly, I suppose the interest in bikes and the passion that the rider's have to discuss their bikes is what does it every time.
The members of the group are a mixture of ages and they all have a passion for bikes and riding.
The club is very organised and the pack leader 'Mike' puts an awful lot of effort into trying to please everyone which I can wholeheartedly say he does!
The rides are very well organised with Mike leading and Tim at the back making sure that no one gets lost!
We went on most of the rides including a trip to Wales last year and what a year it was, everything went smoothly (except for hubby getting a puncture!) and a good time was had by all.
What has also occurred to me is that biker's tend to stick together. I expect other members of the club can remember my hubby's bike getting a puncture (yes, it had to be us!) the members didn't just leave us stranded they stayed and helped us get the tyre sorted out and back on the road home.
This is why I think the Triumph Solent Club are special, and are a really welcoming group of people and a must for anyone out there who would like to join in their activities.
