Hi, first of all thank you for the info in the overdrive of the escape since I will have my...
escape by tomorrow so I am doing some research. I thank you for the helpful information that you've provided on the overdrive/d2. Can you tell me what is the fuel consumption of your 2010 escape in kpl on city and hway? how does the 2.3 engine compare to the earlier 2.0 variants, is it true that it has better FC? compared to the rav4, xtrail and crv how does the escape's FC compare? Do you have techniques to achieve better millage? what made you decide on the escape vs the tucson (just curious)
Actually I have no idea on other compact suv models since Ford Escape 2010 is my first car.
As regards fuel mileage, you can obtain 300 - 400 pesos mileage 60 kilometer city drive depending upon traffic conditions (at less than P45 pesos per liter). In order to achieve better mileage, drive on average of 80 km/hour even in expressways if possible since driving faster than that is not anymore fuel efficient.
Avoid rush hour traffic jams if possible since it is not fuel efficient. Though driving without aircon is fuel efficient, i do not recommend that because it is not good for security considerations.
As regards the tucson, its more of a personal preference for Ford vehicles, i have more faith in American cars and believes that Ford has a good after sales service and support.
