What to say when you didn't enjoy the first date and he calls to ask you out again?
The same as if you didn't enjoy the first date and she calls to ask you out -no.
Since there has only been (one date) there is no commitment or anything close to one, simply tell him;
"I feel it would be a waste of both of our time for us to go out again. I wish you well."
I would be polite but direct. Thank you for the evening, but I just don't think this is going to work out. If he persists - repeat.
I have only been on "one and done" date before, and that was because she was trying to make an old flame jealous.
When I approached her for the second date, she casually said, "Thank you for the flowers, but I think we should just be friends". I thought she was a classy little gal and handled herself well, and since I percieved the situation accurately, there were no hard feelings.
You say, "I don't want to tell you I didn't enjoy getting out of the house and having a great meal, but as for a connection between you and I, I don't see it happening. Thank you for your time."
