Can I put a 96 civic 2dr 5speed motor in my 95 civic 4dr a/t
Hi Lenny, you sound like you know what you're talking about. I recently got a 95 civic 4 door a/t with 44k on it but it threw a rod. My friend has a 96 civic 2dr 5 speed can I put that motor in my 95? Thank you for any help you can give me. Brian
Hi,it should work if the engine size(150i) are the same of both engines. You should only remove his flywheel and swop it with your engines flex plate. The rest of the stuff is the same.Just make sure of the engine sizes or else it wont fit on the automatic gearbox.Hope this can help you.
The simple answer is yes. Replacing motor for motor will make no difference.

Motor swaps for my CivicHello, I have a 92 Honda civic hatchback that I want to do a swap in. It is a toss up between the B16 or B18. Basically i want to make it real easy on my mechanic so he does not charge me a lot...

I saw this somewhere but do not know where. I see hubs with a lot more than that.
