Should dogs always wear a seat belt when sitting in a moving car?
I think that seatbelting a dog is up to the driver. However, my mother was ticketed in the state of Massachusetts for not having her dog "tethered". Tethering requires securing the dog's collar with a short leash to the interior of the car so that the dog does not fly foward in a collision or a quick stop.

My daughter got a ticket for not wearing her seatbelt in the backseat of a vehicle...by some officer of the law...who was just waiting under an overpass...and gathering up all that ticket revenue from this new law...

maybe it is safer but why do i have to wear one? i am not a threat to anyone if i dont wear it.
