To become a confident driver how should you learn - what's the best way to learn and when?
What does it take to become confident?
You should start learning once you get a learner's permit. Start off slow, in a parking lot and gradually increase conditions. There should be practice in all weather conditions, all times of the day and night and a variety of roads and highways. Don't forget to practice going through road work conditions. This should be done over at least a 6 month period and until the driver is confident enough to drive alone. As a driver you must remember over-confidence can be very dangerous, you never stop learning as a driver and an accident is always possible. Always be aware of your surroundings, avoid tunnel vision, and abide by all traffic laws for the best level of safety. Practice predicting the actions of other drivers.
