awesomely hard ? I'm gunna say Frankenstien and flawless just because there roles that most people forgot he did. Flawless he played a rehabing/gay bashing fire fighter rehabed by a crss dressing seymour hoffman(not a tough role for him lol) great movie
I'm going to go against the grain and say that my favorite would have to be Awakenings. Because it was such a touching story and he was so very, very believable in that role it was hard not buy into it completely. And a very close second was Analyze This and Analyze That because he was hilarious!
"You don't hear the word NO very often do you?" "Of course I do, but it's usually more like no, please, no, no."
I have to vote for Taxi Driver and Raging Bull because of the sheer intensity of the roles; but I have to admit that Cape Fear totally creeped me out so bad just thinking about it gives me the willies!
DeNiro simply owns that emotion! Nobody comes close on film! Except for maybe that guy who plays the angry militant dad in the Twisted Sister videos...that guy was scary intense..."What's this on your uniform?!? A Twisted Sister button?!?"
Midnight Run is such a fun film! It's got everything...starting with a great performance by DeNiro...Grodin is such unscrupulous heal in this film...DeNiro is so cool, he almost made ulcers seem cool...
My favorite would have to be the scene in - Taxi Driver (1976) when he says "you talkin to me" classic. The whole movie was good and showed his great acting ability which we have seen throughout his film career.
