Buying a car
Wehen looking for a pre owned car. Should you buy at a dealer or from a private owner?
You can get the best price if you buy from a private owner, but you won't get any kind of warranty. There could also be hidden problems with a car so it would be a good idea to get it checked out before you buy from a private seller.
I always get my mechanic to check out a car whether it is from a dealer or private party. Since you will get a lower price generally from a private party, that is how I would go. Most dealers do not give much of a warranty on a used car. You can also buy a warranty on any used car. There are companies which will sell you a good warranty on any newer used car.
