By 2025, what percentage of the American public will own an electric vehicle vs hybrid vs gas car?
In the 1990s a renewed interest in electric and hybrid cars came about in the United States. Initially, hybrid vehicles proved more popular over the electric vehicle due to the range a car could travel more easily, and the overall cost factor. In addition, gas combustion vehicle are now more fuel efficient than ever. Given the advances in vehicle technology, infrastructure for gas, hybrid and pure electric vehicles, what percentage of the American driving public do you think will own a hybrid vs electric vs gas combustion vehicle in 2030?
Until they get battery efficiency up and eliminate the problems like Tesla's car batteries catching fire, all electric cars will not be common.
Hybrids may become more common if gas prices go back up.
Otherwise, gas cars will remain dominant.
Hello Johnny, many Texas Cities, like Austin and Grapevine are testing 'propane' as an alternative to regular gas cars. Gas engine car will never become completely obsolete.
I predict there will be close to an equal number of cars that are hybrid and electric, but gasoline cars will be dominant because of older models that have been taken care of and ones that have been restored and kept as classics.
We will still need gas for other pieces of equipment like lawnmowers, tractors and weed eaters.... etc.

Would you choose a hybrid vehicle (gas & electric) or a totally electric vehicle?I'd choose hybrid for now. The 100% electric vehicle's range scares me at the moment.
