It is best to learn how to drive manual in a big empty parking lot or a private driveway so you have time to learn and aren't a threat to anyone else. Simply put you press in the clutch (left most pedal) put it into first gear then slowly release while feathering the gas (right most pedal) this should allow your transmission to engage and you will slowly take off. To switch to the next gear (2nd) simply press in the clutch again shift down to 2nd and quickly release the clutch. This is a simple explanation but if you don't over think it you should be ok. Practice is the key! Also you can watch some how to video's on youtube!
