Don't Think and Drive- Stay Alive
I leave work on a positive note
Put my things in my car
Never thinking about the poem yet to be wrote
I look to the sky and think I see a shooting star
As I drive, I gaze at the luminous light
Peeking through the clouds above
I reflect on my accomplishments- they feel so right
Nature- I am a part of
I consider taking a photograph of the sight
But I pause.....
I wish I could remember the delight
Because......
While I am appreciating nature and all of its' glory
An officer is doing his job
This feels like my life story
It makes me want to sob
When one good moment happens, another turns bad
I see the flashing lights behind- I can not flee
The officer writes my ticket on his message pad
Speeding in a work zone- why me?
The moral of the story is- Always pay attention behind the wheel
Because that ticket could cost you a great deal!
