Frugal Christmas? Earn Points and Get Gift Cards!

Updated on October 17, 2012

Super Points

Well with the holiday season upon us and a tight budget I am always looking for ways to save money. I love giving gifts to my loved ones, but I also love to be frugal if I can. There three services I shall talk about today that I have found to be recommended by many. Keep in mind these can take mind and definitely won’t get you dozens of gift cards overnight by any means. Yet, with a little patience this can be a fun way to get free stuff!

The first one I will go into is Super Points. I just signed up with the recently after it was recommended to me by a friend. Did a little research and decided I would give it a try. While it is a slow process to get your points up it is actually pretty addicting! I do not have any idea why clicking the SuperLucky Button excites me. Ha! They have many options for you to earn points. You can do surveys, complete offers, etc. Now if you want to go the free route then I would recommend referrals, superlucky button, daily email awards (they will send you free points), and watching videos.

Now a special note about the videos, you do not actually have to watch them. Just mute your computer and let the video play in the background. They are normally pretty short. Also sometimes the videos will ask to be linked to your facebook or twitter. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO. If you look on the left hand side of the video it will usually say something like skip this step or no thanks. All in all I am earning my points at a gradual pace, but referrals definitely give you a huge boost. While most people like to do this for free I also suggest that if you happen to be planning on subscribing to a magazine or Netflix these are major ways to gain big points. Just keep it in mind should you consider these services in the future! Here is my referral link, big bonus is that you will get 25 points extra from being referred when you join! http://superpoints.com/refer/janellelynne

Swagbucks

Next is Swagbucks.com this is another site that has loads of ways to earn. It is very similar to SuperPoints, but it has a much bigger swagstore. They have more games, coupons, trade in function, much more. Now similar to Super Points they also have offers. Below is my swagbucks referral link! http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/midnightxeclipse

Fiverr

The last one I will go over is Fiverr. Now I am also new to Fiverr, but the general idea is that you come up with a service. This can be bizarre to businesslike. If someone happens to say need a 200 word blurb written you can offer that service and then the person wanting the service will pay you five dollars to do so via Paypal. This site is actually quite entertaining and funny. There are actually people who will pay $5.00 for even the most humorous services or also known as gigs on Fiverr. I have heard of people paying $5.00 for someone to draw a picture of a cat. Sounds silly right? Yet, people still do it. Check it out here. www.fiverr.com
