Affiliate Marketing for Beginners-One Step At A Time

In my hubs I am going to try and be as straight forward as possible especially since I am leading towards writing about affiliate marketing for beginners. I am rather disappointed in so many of the so called gurus who keep tricking new people into buying product after product with no concern for them at all.

So the first thing I'm going to tell all newbies is quit buying anything right now. Yes, as a marketer there are some things you should buy, but that can come a little later. Before you get all excited at the concept of making a pile of money over the weekend in your pajamas sitting at your kitchen table you need to understand some things.

First of all the pajama, kitchen table thing just doesn't work unless you happen to scratch a winning lottery ticket at that moment.

There are a lot of gurus I had a lot of respect for until the last couple of months. It seems the boys club has all got together and at least once or twice a week they are all introducing a new product to the market that is supposed to be better than the one released just a couple days ago.

So put your wallet away for a while, sit back and listen to what I have to say.

Affiliate Marketing For Beginners-The First Step

The first step in affiliate marketing for beginners is taking a look at yourself and deciding if you really have what it takes. I know many of the gurus say things like "easy money", "quick cash", "make money today" and so much more. Sorry to disappoint you but that just doesn't happen.

You need to understand 5 things before you even attempt to move forward in an affiliate marketing career.

You need to believe in yourself, willing to learn, willing to put in the hard work, willing to be patient and have the desire to succeed.

I will now go through each one of these points briefly.

Affiliate Marketing For Beginners-Believe In Yourself

As a person at the beginning of trying to make money online you are going to have to put up with a lot of negative attitude from people around you.

That is the main reason I got out of MLM and only focus on affiliate marketing. At least with affiliate marketing you don't have to beg people to sign up to something. When they buy it is something they came looking for.

You have to be able to shrug of the negative influences in your life. Now I'm not saying to disown your family or something like that. It's important to just not let them get to you.

At the beginning they will be very quick to jump all over you because you won't be making much if any money at the start. You will also hear the word scam from them a lot. While there are a lot of scams going on it's your responsibility to make sure you don't get involved in these kinds of programs.

Every morning when you wake up just tell yourself that no matter what you will be moving forward with this. Slowly you will start seeing things happening and then they will come around.

It took me three years to get things figured out. Don't worry there is no reason for it to take you that long because you just don't have to make the same mistakes I made. I finally learned about affiliate marketing and all things have since worked out very nicely.

Affiliate Marketing For Beginners-Be Willing To Learn

When you get into affiliate marketing for beginners you need to be willing to learn. Even the most advanced marketers need to be continually learning so you must understand you are at somewhat of a starting point here.

You will need to set some time to just learning. That means you have your chat shut off, you are not reading emails or anything like that. It will require focus but you could consider it like an apprenticeship. If you dedicate an hour each day then use that hour for learning. You will be very surprised how much you can learn and retain in an hour if you focus.

If there are parts you just don't understand you will need to write down your questions and find the answers. I can't stress enough that no matter what anyone tells you the affiliate marketing process takes time. It just won't happen over night.

Affiliate Marketing For Beginners-Hard Work

Affiliate marketers for beginners or veterans will prove the same thing. There is nothing easy about it. You need to understand that affiliate marketing requires a ton of effort before you ever see any real rewards for your efforts.

The biggest warning I can give to anyone is there is no such thing as easy or quick money. I am sorry to disappoint you but that's just a fact of life. I too fell for the get rich quick garbage so please learn from my mistakes. If someone offers you the easy money route just walk away and don't look back.

You will have to put in hard work. Now I don't mean physical labor but mentaly you need to be prepared to put in all the effort you have. You will need to focus and stay focused. You will need to work and keep working. The biggest thing is when things get tough just work harder and never give up.

Affiliate Marketing For Beginners-Be Patient

In affiliate marketing for beginners I must have told 1000s of people how they need to be patient. So many times they think they need to be making money on Tuesday when they only started on Monday.

I'm sorry but barring a miracle the money just wont come that fast. Anyone that believes it will really needs to sit back and rethink their decision to work online. Thinking you will make quick money will get you disappointed and force you to quit quicker than you can even really get started.

All these people that promise you fast and easy money have lost sight of where they got started. I can guarantee they too had to be patient and work their butts off to get where they are. It's important to know that most of these people forgot where they actually came from. It is sad but you will be pleased to know there are still a lot of great marketers that do remember where and how they got their start and are always willing to help the people just getting started.

Affiliate marketing for beginners will always need the kind of people who still care when they are looking for mentoring. If the very first thing they do is try and sign you up to courses that are going to cost you hundreds and hundreds of dollars then you better do some rethinking.

Affiliate Marketing For Beginners-You Will Succeed

You have to have the desire to succeed when you make the decision to make a living online. When I say you need the desire that means you are willing to do whatever it takes as long as it is only ethical ways.

I used to lie to myself by saying I was working online. All I would really be doing was checking emails, browsing the internet, playing games and really not getting anything done that meant anything.

I'm not sure what did it but one day I finally decided that enough was enough. I decided that I was going to succeed online. I decided to quit wasting my time and start doing the things that I needed to do. It took me a long time to figure this out, I wasted a lot of time and I would be at least a year ahead if not for my wasted time.

You don't need this to happen to you.

Affiliate Marketing For Beginners-The Final Word

At the end of the day the decisions need to be up to you. You need to take the time to sit back and decide if you have what it takes. Working online isn't for everyone and that's okay. Of course if it was easy then everyone would be doing it.

The thing is you really don't have to be one of those 95% that don't succeed. The fact is myself and others can help steer your way, we can show you where to get the tools but how you decide to react is something only you can decide on.

I have helped many people move forward in their affiliate marketing for beginners. But unfortunately even people I have tried to help have failed. I use to take this personally but not anymore. I know what it takes and I know if you want to succeed you also need to know what it takes.

When all is said and done have a look at the best training course online by checking out the Affiliate Nuts website.
