iPage and Webstarts Review

Updated on September 9, 2012

Free Website Creator

Searching for the best web hosting, site builder, free website creator or free business websites is very challenging yet important when getting ready to start your new online business or hobby. There are many web hosts out there today that offer many different incentives to join there programs. Some web host companies offer free monthly website submissions to Google, Yahoo and MSN. Most offer secure online shopping carts to use to sell various products from your home store. Some offer incentive programs for referring people to join there web hosting and many offer a low price with stack on programs to lure you in. Most typical are the programs they should be offering to you anyway. These include the following:

  • Unlimited disk space and e-mail
  • Free Security Suite
  • Free Site building tools
  • Free Online Stores
  • Free website creator
  • Free Google, Yahoo, Facebook and My Ads credits
  • Unlimited Hosting Space
  • Unlimited data transfer
  • Host Unlimited domains
  • Free Blog
  • Customer Support Guaranteed to answer your phone calls in 2 minutes
  • Secured Credit card processing
  • Marketing tools to help promote your website

So looking at all of the wonderful offers above, what are you really getting for your money. Lets analyze:

Unlimited disk Space: Hello, its 2010. We are paying you how much per month. Sorry but that should be expected from all Web hosts. Thumbs Down

Security Suite for Free: Please stop with the Security incentive. It should be expected from all web hosts. Never buy a web host that can't offer security to there Server and your website. Thumbs Down

Site Building Tools: Maybe a benefit perhaps. They really are only offering to host your website for your monthly payment, so this is an incentive and it makes it easy for you to get started. A free website creator tool is also a plus. Thumbs up!

Free Online Stores: Don't let them fool you, this is not free. Most offer this as an incentive and an upgrade to a better package. It is still a valuable service if your looking to have an online store. I'll give it a Thumbs up!

Free Advertising with Google, Yahoo, My Ads and Facebook: This is exciting news to think we can get free ads from all the top Search Engines. Guess what? If you were to try these ad programs for the first time anyway, most will give you free ad credits. I give this a thumbs down?

Free Blog: This is so exciting! I should be pulling my credit card out right now. Its a blog! Hello, this is expected. You can get free blogs all over the internet. I give this a big old thumbs down.

I analyzed this enough and came to a conclusion that most Web hosts today offer these incentives and some charge way more then they should be anyway. From my experience, here was my top 5 best web hosts found on the internet today.

The Top Best Web Hosts That Offer the Best Rates

  • iPage: Most typically cost around $3.50
  • Webstarts: Monthly Cost Typically around $3.50
  • FatCow: Monthly cost can be anywhere from $3.50 to $4.00
  • JustHost: Monthly Cost typically anywhere from $3.50 to $4.00
  • IX Webhosting: Monthly cost typically anywhere from $3.50 to $4.00

ipage and Webstarts are my favorite web hosts out of all of the above. I have used there services and never had a problem. Webstarts offers a free website creator, site builder and domain program that allows you to create your own website for free and check out all of the tools they offer. Of course, I had to search around first to see which products offered the best deals. There are so many out there that offer many programs and are just as good as the top web hosts you see advertising on television. You want to find good quality services at a low cost and a company that you can have a long term trustworthy relationship with. Once a website is established, nobody really wants to transfer to another web host because Its a pain, and most people are to busy with there own website that its just not worth the hassle. So when your shopping for web hosts and the costs associated with them, see what they offer for one low monthly price. Avoid web hosts that offer to many upgrades and focus on what is important to your business or hobby.

Webstarts Free Sign Up and Instant Domain

With Webstarts you can sign up for a free web hosting domain and be live on the internet in minutes. You are able to start using all the free tools in minutes. You can use the free website with affiliate links and more. Web starts also has a shopping cart store that you can purchase to use on your site. If you have a product to sell from your home then the shopping cart is something for you. Webstarts is the only webhost to offer a free web domain and so I thought it was a really good deal. Good luck designing your very own webpage and find a webhosting service that is right for you.

iPage Services

It appears that Ipage really offers a lot more then any other web hosting companies on the net. They do offer hosting of unlimited Domains, Site Builder with Word press hooks, $250 dollars in Marketing credits and a free online store. I searched around at all popular web hosts and found that IPage tops all of them.

Webhost Research Question to ask yourself before you buy

  1. What kind of business do you plan to make for the longterm? This is a question you must ask yourself in order to find a good reliable web hosting Company. Read reviews from real people, look at reliability and overall Customer Satisfaction. Always look at how long the Company has been established and of course the business size.

My Suggestion to help you decide on your webhost

Its not easy making the decision of what kind of web hosting is best suited for your business or personal needs. You will have to do plenty of research and experimenting to find exactly what you like and the Services that you prefer. This review and the poll up above is being done by real people who have Services that they trust. I setup this review so that people can comment and vote in the poll. This could help you ultimately make a decision on the best webhost program that will meet your needs for a long, long time. Good luck on your research and your long term internet business goals.

I found this Hub right when I needed to. I've been looking at Weebly and like them very much but now I'm considering iPage. Also I've had some fun with WIX. Great Hub - very informative.

I've been with JustHost for a year now and they are brilliant. Their customer service is excellent. For the few times I've had to contact them when I've bought add-on domains and needed some information and queries, they've replied within 30 minutes at the latest. They prioritise your emails if you have an urgent problem. They have always been so helpful to me. Great and useful information here. I've heard some good things about Hostgator, too.

I took a look at GoDaddy several times and I'm not that impressed. The pricing seems to be a real turn off and honestly Webstarts has the same king of web templates and they are cheaper. GoDaddy is so well known from all there advertising and yet they continue have expensive hosting. The one thing I like about Go Daddy is there "Buy old domain Programs." Honestly, if I were to start over and build a new website, I would buy an old domain with PR 4 and listed in the DMOZ. It will help you to get a website rolling and make money much faster.
