How To Make Money With Amazon Part 1

How To Make Money With Amazon

How to make money with Amazon using their affiliate program is now becoming a question I am asked more and more each year. The popularity of what amazon.com call their “associates” program is growing daily because it is earning people everything from a part time extra income all the way up to a very serious job replacement income, in some cases 6 figures per year.

In this series of articles I will give you some top tips on how to make money with Amazon including video tutorials that are both simple and easy to folow. I would also like to say that I personally make money with Amazon as well as from Clickbank, Adsense and with list building too. So these techniques work if you apply them consistently over time.

The skills that you will develop will help you in other areas of your online marketing too. So once you feel confident enough with Amazon then you can move on to other projects and build up a several income stream portfolio too. This type of income stream can be outsourced cheaply if you wish to go down that route. In doing so you will free up more time to spend with friends/family and enjoying your hobbies instead of working.

The key is to build simple and easy niche sites that have links directly to amazon.com or (.de, .fr, .co.uk, depending on which market you are promoting) and these niche sites can be used on free platforms such as Blogger, Tumblr and Weebly etc. Or you may wish to purchase a domain name cheaply and set up a Wordpress site which is more professional looking. I use both and get sales from both too, the decision is yours.

First of all the Amazon affiliate program is free to join, so if you are on a low budget it’s a great place to start. If you are a newbie yet to make your first dollar or you have been online for some time and are struggling to earn consistent income then this can be for you.

Is this online store a popular one? 100% yes! In the USA where I do the majority of my marketing Amazon.com is the 5th most visited website out of all the 100's and 1000's of sites on the net. It is only beaten by Facebook, Google, Yahoo, and YouTube in terms of more website traffic. This is confirmed (watch my video below) by alexa.com the web information company who track every site out there. It shows the popularity of why consumers love this brand so much.

One key factor that I absolutely love is the way they market and up sell products to your customers. What happens on lots of occasions is that your buyers will end up buying multiple items even when maybe they initially only went to buy one thing.

I had heard this before I started promoting Amazon and found it to be true for my own sales. Some of my customers have bought up to 10 products in one go. This is superb for increasing your affiliate commissions, especially in the build up to Xmas each year.

Another site that some marketers are unaware of is endless.com which is also owned by the Amazon brand. The beauty of Endless is that they pay more in commission for their sales (up to 15%) and have a lot of products which the ladies love to buy. There are fashion designer brands, shoes, accessories, clothes for the ladies. Even items for men and kids and a sale section for bargains all round.

In closing for this article I would also like to say that once you start your marketing program you will make sales on items that are not even in your niche. This again is the beauty of the vast selection Amazon have and I have sold highly priced items over $500 (see video below) in niches that have nothing to do with what I am promoting.
