How to Start a Business Free Online

Updated on July 2, 2014

Can This be Accomplished?

So you want to start a business but you feel you can't because you have little or no money. That may be true in some cases but for the most a person can start many business ventures with no money at all. The truth is that there is always something that can be done. Starting, owing, and operating a business takes a lot of hard work and effort. Nothing in life worth having is easy. There are many successful businesses that started form scratch from people that had a dream or idea but were considered low income. I like to believe that if it is meant to happen it will. My mother use to always say that where there is a will, there is a way. How do I know this is true? I started my businesses without any money at all. Does this mean that I did not have to spend any money at all, of course not. However there are some online platforms out there that will allow a person to start a business without ever having to spend a penny. If you are someone that has the desire to start an online business and you do not yet have the capital, these are some things that can be done now to get you started.

Free Websites

The online community has a few platforms that can be used to help business owners create a free website. The only real thing that I want to mention about free web sites is that if there is ever a problem with the site not functioning correctly, there is no online support available to help you. If you have a paid site however there is support. What I suggest is that the free site be used just to get started and once there is enough money generated that an upgrade on that site be done. This way support will become available. Most of these sites are only five to ten dollars a month anyway.

Here is a list of places that offer free websites or blogs that resemble a website.

A great part of business success means getting the word out about your business. If people do not know that the business exist then how will they support the business? The cost of continual advertisement can cost a fortune but with the resources available there are many ways to let people know what you do.

One of my favorite places to get free business cards online is through Vista Print. The cards are free but you do need to pay for your shipping. Cards can also be created using Microsoft Publisher. This way they can be designed in a unique way without the worries of someone else having your same design.

Free Business Forms

Often in business there is a need for business forms like invoices, statements, receipts etc...They can also be done on Publisher but there are places online that offer free forms if a business owner does not have Publisher on their computer.

Free Credit Card Service

There are many services out there that charge business owners tons of fees for owning a credit car machine but the truth is if a person operates an online business they will never need those expensive machines. Paypal and Square. are two free ways to handle money transactions.

Paypal

Paypal is a service that offers a variety of services free for business owners. Invoices, receipts, and the usage of a credit card service is there. They will however charge a very small fee for this service so you may want to charge clients a few extra dollars to pay for this service. They are reliable, legit, and there are many others services that they offer to people that are starting a business with little or no money at all. Many of their services are absolutely free. The only time business owners will need to pay any fees at all is when there are money transactions.

This is another platform that can be used for people that operate an online business. If no sales are made, then there are no fees. A business owner can take credit card payment from their Android, iphone, and Ipad. With both services Paypal and Square people operating business offline can use their services as well.

There are a few platforms out there that will allow users to own and operate their own store. Some of these stores can be set up using business owners own products or there are places that are already set up from other business owners that will allow people to set up a store using their products.

Kitsy Lane

They are a jewelry company that will allow people to sell jewelry using their own unique store name. The store is already set-up. All store owners need to do is choose which jewelry they would like to sell in their store. They will even allow store owners to create a store name of their choice.

Keep an organized log and write down your findings or type them. Read books that you find at your public library. Take a look at free webinars and Youtube videos in your niche area. You may even feel the need to call up some people in your field and just ask questions or get to know people that are doing what you want to do.The main idea is that there is always something that can be done.

The world wide web has evolved. New business owners are surfacing on the internet each day. There really are no excuses to deter a person from accomplishing this. Many of the ideas will help a person get started but they are not the only keys to success. Once a business is stared and money is generated then by choice a business owner can use monetized platforms. I truly believe that a dream starts somewhere. If a flower is not watered then it can not grow. To use what is available helps a person in their journey through the path of success. To say that a person can not start a business without money is a thing of the past.
