What it takes to be successful

Do you want to be your own boss and work from home or the local coffee shop, while sipping lattes?

These days you can do just that. I'm not saying that its going to be quick and or easy, because it wont be. You are going to have to put in the time, research and the effort.

Some are looking for a full time income and others are just looking to make some extra money alongside their current employment.

Whichever category you fit into there are some key requirements to success.

You have to be able to motivate yourself. No one else will do this for you, in fact there will be some people in your life who will try to discourage you, though not necessarily intentionally. These people are probably not entrepreneurs like you are they are most likely working in the 9am-5pm rat race and are perfectly happy doing this. That's OK for them but for you that is just not enough. You desire something more, to build your own business/work for yourself and to be financially free. So what ever you do, do not let anyone tell you that you can not do it.

Know that you can be successful and work at it. When you feel like you are in a rut and are finding it hard to put yourself to work, just remember that without putting in the work you wont get the results. You deserve to be financially free, you deserve the life you want for you and your loved ones.

Time Management

If you are a procrastinator or have trouble finishing something you start, do not worry, you can still be successful in making money online.

Set a goal for yourself including what you want to achieve and how long until you expect to be there. Include mini tasks and set aside time each day/week for you to complete those tasks. The goal/tasks you set for yourself will all depend on the nature of your venture and the time you set aside is up to you. Ask yourself how quickly you want to reach your ultimate goal.

Dream but also be realistic, becoming a millionaire in 1 year although possible, is unlikely. So start with how much extra cash you want to make each week and when you achieve that goal, push it to the next level. Set yourself another goal to achieve.

Positive Attitude

As I touched on earlier, making money online is not going to be easy nor will it happen quickly, those who are making decent money online have put in years of research and and hard work.

The most important thing is to stay positive, there will be times where you feel like it is hopeless and it seems like no matter how much you are putting in you are not getting much in return.

You may doubt your ability to be successful. But you must keep a positive attitude and believe in yourself. Your head may tell you that you cant do it and subconsciously sabotage your efforts. Take control of your thoughts and do not let negativity take over.

Desire to Learn

You can not expect to be an expert and know everything there is to know about making money online, in a few short sittings.

Throughout your journey of online money making there will be a lot of information to take in. Sometimes it will feel like information overload and you will not know what to do with it all.

Research your options and find what suits you best, do not let it overwhelm you and if you feel it getting too much, then take a break. When you come back things will seem more clear and will be easier to understand.

Always have a desire to learn more and better yourself and your business.

In the online money making world the gurus did not get where they are today by only putting in half an effort and putting it in the too hard basket and giving up.

Most spent countless hours each and every day researching how to make money online. They probably spent years testing these methods until they found something that worked for them. They would have had times where they thought it was useless and almost gave up but something inside of them kept them going.

You will not make money online over night and if you do, it wont be a significant amount. You will have to try and fail and try and fail again and again until you find what works for you. But the end result can be incredibly rewarding.

I think the biggest problem with making money online is time management. Setting aside a regular period each day can help with that. Voting this Up and Useful.
