How to build back links for your Hubpages

You may or may not know that back links are important for getting your Hubpages onto the first page of Google. If you do not know what back links are then please check out the Hubpage I wrote that explains all about back links.

What are back links for?

I know that building backlinks can be a very tedious task, especially for those who like to write and publish their Hubs. I love writing articles and Hubpages but I find that I get very bored when it comes to building backlinks. I try to create lots of backlinks for each of my Hubpages but every minute I spend commenting on blogs or submitting my Hubs to bookmarking directories takes time away from writing more Hubs. I have figured out a way of building high quality back links whilst still writing articles that will make me money. The best thing about this method for quality link building is that it is free and will generate loads of back links whilst getting you multiple income streams.

What is this quality link building method?

So you have written your Hub. You have built up some backlinks by using social media, blogs, comments and forums but your Hub still isn’t getting as much traffic as it could. There is a way of building backlinks and still writing lots of wonderful articles. This method takes time but it will increase the traffic to your Hub. All you have to do is write articles and place a link to your Hub in those articles and submit them to several different article directories.

The easiest way of building those backlinks is to join the following sites so that you can create your back links:

What you will do then is write five articles for each of those sites that will link back to your Hubpage. I know it is a lot of writing but each of these sites will help you to generate more money because each article that you write for those sites will have the potential to earn money. Each of these sites is similar to Hubpages in that you can earn money from Google Adsense as well as place Affiliate marketing links. So in effect whilst you are creating back links to your Hubpage each of those back links could be earning you some money too.

The method step-by-step

Once you have joined each of the sites it is time to begin creating those back links. Let us pretend that you have written and published a Hub about Leather Boots you have done thorough keyword research and this Hub is SEO’d. The leather boots Hub will be your central point and will be the page that all the other articles are going to point to. You will be attempting to write 5 articles for each of the websites that I mentioned above. Go through your keyword research and try to come up with ideas for 5 articles that you can write about that have something to do with your Hub.

For example, you could write articles about:

  • Cheap leather boots
  • Leather boots women
  • Brown leather boots
  • Patent leather boots
  • Red leather boots

*NB: The above ideas were generated by simply typing Leather boots into the Google Adwords Keyword Tool

Once you have written those articles you will turn those articles into Squidoo lenses and will place a link back to your Hub within the lens. Each of the five articles must be high quality and must be original and unique. Copying and pasting content from other sources will cause this method to be completely ineffective. Each of the articles must be SEO’d so that they can be found and so that they have the potential for making more money. Use social marketing to market these articles and also ping the articles as well for quick indexing.

The next step will be to repeat the process for the next site, then the next one, then the next one. When you have finished you will have 20 high quality back links pointing to your Hub. Hopefully following the method has boosted the traffic and maybe even your earnings.

What should I do next?

Getting those 20 back links may not have been enough to get your Hubpage onto the front page of Google because it could be that there is more competition than anticipated. If that is the case you could find more sites to write articles for and write five articles for each of those.

Two great places to create back links with are:

  • Ezinearticles.com
  • Articlebase.com

These are article directory sites and they will really give your Hub lots of exposure. To be honest your could find as many article directories as you want and write five articles containing backlinks to each of them.

I hope this has helped.
