Food Corporation of India (FCI) is a Government of India Undertaking. Staff Selection Commission which is a Government staffing agency is recruiting the Assistant Grade-III for appointment in FCI. Government jobs are much in demand as these provide long term financial security and permanent employment. But at the same time getting a government jobs is also a herculean task in country like India where millions of candidates apply for few hundred posts. Thus for securing a government job is not easy and therefore candidates aspiring for government jobs have to try very hard to make the requisite grade for selection.
This is the first examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Gr-III. Prior to this, FCI itself used to invite the application and conduct the recruitment process for selection of candidates for the posts becoming vacant from time to time. For the first time, FCI entrusted the task of selecting the suitable candidates for the posts of Assistant Gr-III in disciplines such as General, Information Technology, Depot, Accounts, Hindi Typist etc.
Recruitment advertisement for the post of Assistant in FCI was invited by Staff Selection Commission during the last quarter of 2011. Selection of candidates for these posts will be made on the basis of written test , skill test / interview etc. As a part of selection process, SSC is conducting the written test. This written test is being conducted by SSC at hundreds of examination centers across the country. Written Test for various posts of Assistant Gr-III is being held on 04-05 February 2012.
Admit cards to all eligible candidates have been dispatched by the candidates. Candidates who had applied for the post of Assistant by now must have received the admit card/hall ticket for appearing in the written test. If any candidate has not received the admit card then he / she may then same can be downloaded by applicant from the official website of regional office of Staff Selection Commission.

Results of examination conducted by the SSC are displayed on its official website (www.ssc.nic.in) and candidates can check their results when it is available on it. Generally results of examination is declared within a period of 2-3 months. Examination Tips
Written Test for these posts will be of objective type. It means candidates will have to choose the right answer from the given alternatives. There will be different sections in the written test to determine the suitability of candidates for appearing in skill test / interview. Candidates must fill up the roll number, hall ticket number, name, examination, codes etc. at appropriate place and correctly.
Examination is just few days away and applicants can utilize their time by harnessing their skill and brushing up their subjects. One of the important thing which matters the most in any examination is the approach. The mental state of candidate have a bearing on the performance of candidate. If you know how to keep calm in adverse conditions then you can tackle the examination in a better way. Thus candidates appearing in the examination must ensure that they keep their mind cool and do away with those thoughts which brings anxiety, fear, loss, uneasiness etc. If you do not know the answer of certain question then skip it and move on to next one without loosing temper and control of your mind. If you are able to convince and control your mind during the examination period and keeps it away from useless thought you will find that you have outperformed your preparation.
