The HubPages Affiliate Dashboard Tool - 60DC

Updated on June 13, 2011

A Quick DashBoard Tool for Affiliates who use HubPages

I spent a few hours today, purchasing Camtasia v7, finding my old webcam and then looking all over the net for a working driver to get it working.

The purpose was to create a tutorial on how to set up your Firefox browser to help perform your everyday promotion and backlinking activities quicker.

As I imagined what would be the best add-ons to suggest without over complicating things, I kept getting an image of my Opera Speed Dial set up. I dont use Opera frequently, so the Speed Dial is more of a gimmick but I couldnt get the image out of my mind.

So I ended up popping in an audiobook and creating a quick layout for common links a HubPages user and affiliate would probably access. I intended to use the image in my tutorial - but eventually, figured, why not pop in some hot spots and make it a live dashboard!

So, using Adobe Fireworks CS3 I eyeballed this page and used my own bookmarks toolbar as the basis for the link layout and hierarchy.

Unfortunately, its a circa 2000 style image based page but it should load fast and do the deed. If it helps you are free to use it!

SuperDash for Hubpages Users

Whats on the Hubpages SuperDashboard

The first row has an easy logo based link set that leads to your account dashboards for your most commonly used affiliates at Hubpages.

  • Adsense
  • Amazon Associates
  • eBay Partner Network

The second row is dedicated to stats and keywords

  • Google Analytics
  • Your Hubpages Statistics
  • The Adwords Keyword Tool

The third row is dedicated to off site support blog sites:

  • Blogger/Blogspot
  • Wordpress.COM
  • HostGator hosting
  • Godaddy Domain Dashboard (also doubles as a coupon for 7.49 domains)
  • Quick Links to your email - Yahoo,Gmail, Hotmail

The 4th row has further backlink sites and writing sites to use for backlinks

  • Xomba
  • SheToldMe
  • Redgage
  • Infobarrels
  • examiner.com
  • Factoidz

Plus quick links to Facebook and Twitter.

For more advanced affiliates the right hand side has quick links to many of the top publisher networks.

I think the top right - HubPages Quick Links is self explanatory!

Enjoy - ! Complaints and Suggestions below please ;)

Set the dashboard as your home page

In Internet Explorer

Go to the Tools link in your top most region of the browser - then select Internet Options - then select  General - the use the Home Page option, enter the address

http://www.hubsacademy.com/HP-SuperDash.htm

or alternately, just click "Use Current"

In FireFox

Use the same directions OR just drag the favicon in your URL bar into the little home icon while the site of choice is displayed - it asks if you want to make your home page- and your all set!

The Hubpages / 60 day Challenge Toolbar

The Dashboard Home Page Tool above has been recently upgraded to an all inclusive browser toolbar that includes all the same links in one easy to use toolbar plus facebook connect features and a Hubpages Custom Search bar.

This is the best thing ever! You have to know that I have been quite intimidated trying to figure out everything, to the point I had all but given up. Sometimes I get scared to try, because I am older than most of the successful Hubbers, and so much is over my head! I have trouble remembering log in information, and even finding sites again! I lost my own blog! This is the most helpful tool I have seen.

This is awesome! Thank you so much for making this, Sunforged. I have been so inspired by your 60dd and all the amazing hubs written with so much valuable information by yourself and your team. I have been spinning in circles, from freelancing, creating a website/blog, and starting a business. Things were getting a bit overwhelming trying to stay organized.. amongst so many different directions.

So, I am sending off a huge Thank YOU for this. I set it as my homepage. Even not being in the challenge I am associated with nearly all the rest. Very kind of you to share.

Also, I signed up for Hostgator through your hub on them, after accidentally signing up for Wordpress.com, versus .org. (I want to advertise for sure)

Even though I did not go with the Green package, I was easily able to transfer my domain name to Hostgator and then create a Wordpress.org theme.. I am very green as far as many internet things, so that is me saying how easy it was..

I have no doubt your success will continue to flourish, with all your knowledge and sharing..

      Thanks again.

This is truly impressive and I am going to give it a try. When I came to Hubpages about a year ago I didn't know much at all, so this has been a year to learn and I still don't always know many things but this dashboard looks great. I will install it immediately. Thanks so much.

@Sunforged, I've downloaded and installed the tool bar on Internet explorer; working well but it wasn't compatible to install on my Mozilla firefox 4.03b version browser.

Any fix for this new version of Mozilla firefox?

      Thanks.

Great minds think alike! I recently did this with my bookmarks, and I have a different folder for each thing I need: affiliates, free pictures sites, article writing sites, Websites that I love (so I can go back and check them out later when I have time), and another for HubPages that I love and want to read more into. This has helped me organize everything more efficiently.
