URL Submission

Social Business is on the rise, and one of the most popular, and simplest social bookmarking sites is called, Reddit.

This bookmarking site lets you find and make a note of, or bookmark, content that you can share with social or business associates, to refer back to later.

Because of Reddit's large user base, links that appear on its front page or even the lower pages can gain wide exposure, which means that if a link to content on your blog or website appears on these pages, you will increase your brand's exposure and site traffic dramatically.

Reddit is a good way of connecting with other people in your industry and keeping up to date with news and trends related to your business, as well as sourcing content for blog posts if you have a business blog.

As with most other social bookmarking sites, it helps to comment on other people's posts. It creates good Reddit karma, and you will become more socially active, allowing you to gain friends. This is very important as Reddit users can vote for or against your posts.

Reddit consists of a main front page and lower pages that are referred to as subreddits. Links on the front page are un-categorized and are the most popular links on the site, while subreddits are related to a specific subject, such as beauty, technology, crafts.

It is not difficult or time consuming to bookmark. In fact its often just a matter of URL submission, however, it is a good idea to get to know your bookmarking sites beyond just submitting and running.

Link content is a little different in that between the two sections, articles on the front page tend to be more along the lines of "breaking news" or dated articles. Subreddits tend to be more timeless or "evergreen" as we say in Hubpages community.

On this site your public is very targeted, witch means that they may be very interested in your content. This makes this site particularly useful for social business.

It may be wise to submit content that is not your own first. This could help you build link karma and establish your reputation as a respectable Reddit user. There are certain types of articles that do well on Reddit, while others flop. The trending, or current events seem to do very well.

Having friends on Reddit is very important because it requires a high number of votes in a short period of time to rank the page higher in the searches.

How to Use Reddit to Increase Traffic

My personal favorite way to increase traffic to my blogs with the assistance of Reddit is to write "hubs" here at hubpages, which are individual articles or blogs, and posting them on Reddit. This automatically doubles traffic to my hubs. So, I can also post my blog on Reddit, and I do get a few hits but not as many as when they come from hubpages, so I write some hubs that point to my blog and the results are amazing. To sign up with hubpages just click hubzz .

You can also network with other users on Reddit who are also bloggers.
