My Passion for Photography
I received my first camera when I was about 11 years old. Our family was going to Disney World and I was thrilled that I could take my camera along. Even though they are old and faded, I still have my first photos.
Growing up, I photographed family events like Christmas, birthdays and graduations, but my favorite photos were random shots of my siblings. I have a picture of my sister in hair curlers. I treasure the photo I took of my oldest brother when he was learning to play the guitar. I have pictures of all of my siblings with their first cars, bikes and motorcycles. I have them dressed in uniforms, formals, in swimsuits, and even bell bottomed blue jeans. There are those action shots caught just in time to capture the "bomb" affect of one of my brother's cannonball jumps off the diving board and into the pool. I have dozens of pictures of my brother's and sister's actions that they would deny if only they could. The best part of being on my side of the camera lens, is that there are no photos like that of me. I seem to be the only one of our group that was bitten by the shutter bug.
I take my camera, the blue one in the image, almost everywhere I go and I am likely to take pictures of almost anything. So, it should not be surprising to anyone that I have taken some of my favorite photos and opened a Zazzle store.
My Favorite Camera - Yes, It is Blue!
I originally chose this camera mainly because it has a view finder. I still prefer to use the view finder over the display screen, but this camera has both. My little blue friend is also light and compact. I really can stick it in a large pocket, wear it on my wrist or on a lanyard around my neck.
You can see for yourself the quality of the photos. It is the camera I used for all of my spring tree articles. It has an optical stabilizer and frankly, yes, I can tell a difference. I have been extremely pleased with the resolution of my pictures and also with the camera's zoom capabilities.
The featured camera below is a difference color than my lovely blue camera, but it is the same brand and model.
As I have been writing articles to publish online, I have been taking photos for each one. They have become the foundation of my Zazzle store.
You can see some of them featured in the articles listed below.
