    Have you ever cried at work?

    Were there consequences?  Professional?  Social?  What were they?

    Tons of times... And there were no consequences other than me looking like an emotional woman-child in front of others.

    Interesting question. I teared up but not cried at work, I don't carry my personal life to work. Negative consequences for crying at work is inappropriate. Perhaps management can ask the employee to take a day off to deal with the emotional concerns.

      What if an issue (or some) AT the workplace are the cause of your distress?  What happens when someone (or management!) figures this out?

      If your workplace is the cause of your distress, start looking for another job. There are legal ways to deal with workplace issues, especially if it involves with management - directly or indirectly.
