HubMob Ecommerce Guide

Updated on July 5, 2011

It's About Time...

...that someone explained this whole e-commerce thing.  A lot of people have ideas for online businesses but they haven't a clue how to go about setting up the money collection part, which is of course, very important.  For those of you who fall into this category (that includes me), this Ecommerce Guide should prove helpful.

When Princessa announced this HubMob topic over in the forums I was quite excited but also became aware that there is a lot more to this ecommerce stuff than I realized.  It never occurred to me that there might be servers and software required.  I thought that you just signed up for a shopping cart somewhere (somehow) and that was that.  What I learned from Princessa in that thread is that ecommerce has a wide range and can be more involved than I initially thought.

The good news in all of this is, I guess, that the expansive world of ecommerce holds more opportunities for webpreneurs.  That's wonderful, right?

There is a lot of quality information for you in this HubMob Ecommerce Guide.  Please avail yourself of it, digest it, use it to line your pockets with cash from successful e-commerce transactions.  All the hubbers (writers) ask in return is for you to leave some feedback before you go.

If you have any questions about any of the topics in these hubs, just leave your inquiry in the comment box of the hub.  The hubber will respond to you a.s.a.p.

Thank-you for visiting our HubMob Ecommerce Guide!

Hi, Ramkkasturi. Thank-you for the compliment and coming by to read.

Chris seems to have answered your question in detail re getting traffic. Easy isn't a word that I personally associate with getting traffic. If you are referring to your hubs, it takes time and the addition (building up the number you have) of quality hubs before you'll likely see much coming in.

How much per day is very difficult to answer. There are too many variables to use one figure for everybody. I know there are some hubbers who get thousands of hits a day, others who get hundreds and newbies who get fewer than a hundred. You'll get there but it can take some time and effort. This is definitely not an overnight money maker.

Sorry, wish I had a happier answer for you.

Hi Shirley! Awesome hub and great info pulled into one place!

Ramkkasturi..getting traffic is easy...getting targeted traffic that's interested in your niche is a little harder that just getting traffic.

      1. Keyword Research- Find good keywords that have high commercial intent that will convert into sales for your niche... You want to go after the least competitive keywords first!

      2. One Page SEO- Lot's of people are out there testing strategies and arguing over what works and what doesn't. Focus on Keyword Rich- Not stuffed but include the keywords that you found in your research in your title tags, meta description, and your meta keywords. You'll also want to include some on page sales copy and use H1 tags for your keywords. Test your copy to make sure it converts well. IF you optimize your pages correctly you will start seeing results.

      3. Strategically link to these optimized pages using keyword rich anchor text in your links to build link popularity... You can link to these pages using web 2.0 sites like hubpages... squidoo... etc.

      4. Once google starts indexing your site you can begin to link internally from indexed pages on your site to the optimized pages that you are wanting to rank high for the keywords that you are targeting. Internal linking is powerful... which means its really important to get the pages on your site indexed and cached as frequently as possible by the google spiders.

This is not the Easy Method... the easy methods are often called black hat and will get your site penalized in the Search Results.

Hi, Whostingreview! I agree with you re black marketing. I've never quite understood how people have the nerve to do some of the things they do on purpose.

Thank-you for adding your voice and advice here. It just may save someone from getting into trouble with Big G.

      Hey Shirley,

Black marketing methods are never something you should take into consideration. Starting an ecommerce store solely relies around making sales and once your site is indexed in Google you don't want to do anything to jeopardize that.

Believe me having a site and then getting banned can cause you to go from hero to zero very very quickly. A banned site is worth nothing at all.
