Are there categories or types of "Risks"?

    Some people use different adjectives to specify the type of risk they are referring to such as calculated risk; suicidal risk etc. Is there a system or scale to grade risks?

      Husband and wife decide together at the dinner table. One is okay with risk. One not and so life insurance is bought and investments are made by compromise.
